In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19^th CPC National Congress, and accelerate the development of political science, sociology and ethnology with Chinese characteristics, on December 17, a symposium was held by the Social Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Political Science, Sociology and Ethnology and the China Social Science Network and hosted by PKU Institute of State Governance Studies and the School of Government and Management. Prof. Wang Pucheng, Prof. Yang Shengmin, Prof. Ma Rong, Prof. Li Qiang, Prof. Xu Yong and Prof. Xu Xianglin from the Social Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, as well as over 40 scholars from Renmin University, Minzu University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Jilin University, Fudan University, Zhongshan University, Shaanxi University, Inner Mongolia Normal University, and China Ethnic News participated in the symposium. Based on the rich connotations and great significance of the 19^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, they further conducted in-depth discussions on political science, sociology and ethnology with Chinese characteristics.
