Research fellows Recruitment Information of Institute of State Governance Studies and Co-Innovation Center for State Governance in 2017

    Job Wanted: part-time research fellows

    Recruitment Range: researchers in universities and institutes

    Position Wanted: research fellow, associate research fellow, assistant research fellow, research assistant, project executive director, deputy director

    Job Statement: to carry out project research regarding “State Governance” and make relevant achievements

    Job Salary: negotiable according to different part-time positions

    Operating mechanism: the recruitment is based on the project and specifications of applicant are closely related to projects; the recruitment term is from the approval to the closing of the project; the recruitment strictly adopts project contract system; the job specifications as well as projects implement mobility system jointly.

Projects for recruitment shall be implemented according to Project Management Approach of Humanities and Social Sciences of Peking University

    Job Specifications:

    1. The projects of applicants should be approved by state or the Ministry of Education or other provincial projects, international cooperation projects, the projects set by our Institutes and put for school record regarding state governance study presided or participated by the applicants;

    2. Generally, applicants should publish quality papers or books in the field of state governance, or have outstanding governance performance;

    3. Generally, assistant research fellows and research assistants should be post-doctoral and post-graduation;

    4. Overseas applicants should be the professors, research fellows or doctoral students in world-renowned universities or important institutes, and more than two recommendations from professors and researchers are needed.

    5. Being physically and mentally healthy, with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork, as well as high professional quality;

    Recruitment Term:

    1. The recruitment is implemented in project management system. The personnel recruitment and withdrawal are based on the approving and closing of projects.

    2. When the project is completed, the Institute is responsible for the project review. For the projects passed through the assessment, the contract with the presider or participants are automatically terminated, the individual or team for project research automatically withdraw from the Institute at the same time, and the position and title during the operation of project are relieved correspondingly.

    Application Process:

    2. The applicants passed through preliminary selection would continue to finish the next process. The applicants failed in the preliminary selection would not be informed.

    3. Eligible applicants would receive the Employment Certificate officially issued by Institute of State Governance Studies, Peking University.

    Materials Needed:

    1. 5 pieces of Outstanding research results;

    2. The certification of project approval; the certification of project participation;

    3. ID card, diploma, and other qualification and award certification.

    Two copies of each material above should be submitted with personal signature confirmation.

    Rights and obligations:

    1. Rights:

      1) The academic title and position title from the Institute can be received and applied;

      2) The resources supplied and allocated by the Institute can be used to start academic activities, including the Institute project group name, academic forums, information platform, books and reference materials, database, case library, publishing platform, reporting channels for project application or results record, research facilities and so on;

      3) The employee can enjoy the funding provided by our Institute for supporting the projects, and concrete implement measures can be found in specific provisions of the Institute.

      4) The employee get the priority to publish his paper in the books, periodicals and Wechat public number of the Institute;

      5) The employee can get the priority to participate in academic activities organized or sponsored by the Institute, and appropriate funding will be provided;

      6) Overseas employee can receive the invitation from the Institute and get research subsidies and living allowance.

    2. Obligations:

      1) All applicants shall abide by the Constitution and laws of the state, as well as the rules and regulations of the Peking University and the Institute;

      2) Employees shall work in accordance with the provisions of the Institute for confidentiality matters, shoulder the confidentiality responsibility and legal responsibility according to the provisions;

      3) The results of any research project (including papers, books, textbooks, research reports and the media speech) published should be prominently marked with “the result of Institute of State Governance Studies, Peking University” and "the result of Co-Innovation Center for State Governance, Peking University"

      4) The projects belonging to of off-campus staff of Peking University shall be presided by the relevant Peking University researchers together;

    3. Other rights and obligations are supposed to assign to the employee by the Institute, according to the relevant regulations of Peking University and project management.
