Abstract: The reform of the political system is an important part and also an important political foundation of China's comprehensive deepening of reforms. In the 30 years of reform and opening up, China’s rapid economic and social development has kept the political system basically stable. The reason is that China’s political structural reforms adopt a gradual reform path, which not only maintains flexibility but also guarantees stability of the governance structure of the country. The content of China’s future deepening of the political system reform is to advance adaptive democratic reforms, expand orderly political participation, establish a deliberative democracy platform for local government’s public policy formulation, and build a responsible government under the premise of maintaining a stable state governance structure. The reform also aims to promote the separation of administrative officials and government officials, and establish and improve accountability systems for government and government officials. Through the reform of the political system, the level of modernization of state governance can be raised.
