北京大学国家治理研究院（Institute of National Governance Studies, Peking University）前身为北京大学政治发展与政府管理研究所，2000年12月被批准为教育部人文社会科学百所重点研究基地——政治学研究基地。2013年12月，作为国家治理协同创新中心（http://cicsg.pku.edu.cn）的牵头单位，与吉林大学、复旦大学、中山大学和中国财政科学研究院相关机构协同运行。

　　研究院以国家治理现代化为研究主题，为中国特色社会主义国家治理现代化和哲学社会科学发展，不断创新思想理论，推进学科发展，提供咨政支持，展开人才培养。

　　Institute of National Governance Studies, Peking University, formerly named Institute of Political Development and Governance, was approved as the Key Politics Research Base in December 2000, one of the 100 key humanities and social sciences research bases approved by the Ministry of Education P. R. China. In December 2013, as leading unit of Co-Innovation Center for State Governance（http://cicsg.pku.edu.cn）, the Institute operates together with Jilin University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-Sen University and Chinese Academy of Fiscal Science.

　　With modernization of State Governance as the principal research topic, the Institute aims at developing academic disciplines, and providing talent training and policy consultation support for the modernization of state governance and the development of philosophy and social science.
